Alderman Gilbert Villegas brought PB to the 36th Ward in 2015. Learn more about the ward, upcoming events, and past cycles below.
Ward Overview
The 36th Ward is located in Chicago’s Northwest Side, near the city boundary. Its curved shape touches parts of many neighborhoods: Portage Park, Dunning, Montclare, Galewood, Belmont Cragin, Austin, Hermosa, and Humboldt Park. Much of the neighborhood lies within the Chicago Bungalow Belt and is heavily residential. The 36th Ward borders on three other wards that practice participatory budgeting: the 31st, 35th, and 45th Wards.
