Ward Overview
The 29th Ward is part of Chicago's far west side, sharing a border with several suburbs, including Oak Park. The ward includes all or part of the Austin, Belmont Cragin, Galewood, Dunning and Montclare neighborhoods. The ward is serviced by two El train lines - the Blue and Green lines - as well as Interstate-290. The ward is largely residential with important commercial corridors along North and Madison Avenues.

Community representatives worked with ward staff and city agencies to develop 6 ballot items, including street resurfacing. Voting took place from December 6 through December 23. 419 residents voted at the ward office and in the community.
